Madeline Travis, née Schultz, was a standout multi-event athlete during her tenure with the Oberlin College track & field team, delivering ten North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) titles over the span of her four-year career.

Concluding her career with 20 All-NCAC performances, Travis is one of four Oberlin women's track & field athletes since 2005 to have at least 20 All-NCAC accolades. Recording four All-NCAC performances during the 2007-08 season, including the NCAC Championship title in the 4x400m relay for both indoor and outdoor track & field, Travis tripled her collection of All-NCAC performances the following season. Earning her first individual NCAC titles in the 400m hurdles and heptathlon in 2009, the Massachusetts native secured a qualifying mark for the NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships, placing 17th overall. Travis capped off her remarkable career with five NCAC titles during the 2009-10 indoor and outdoor track & field seasons, including individual titles in the pentathlon, heptathlon, and 400m hurdles. Following her successful tenure with the Oberlin track & field program, Travis was presented as the NCAC Heptathlon Athlete of the Decade in 2013 and earned the Oberlin Honda Scholar-Athlete award in 2010.

Travis graduated from Oberlin in 2010 with a degree in biochemistry and art history. Made possible by the Woodrow Wilson Teaching Fellowship, Travis earned her master's in education from John Carroll University in 2012. Travis taught high school science at Reynoldsburg High School eSTEM Academy for eight years while serving as the Head Cross Country and Assistant Boys and Girls Track & Field Coach. During her last four years at Reynoldsburg, Travis served as an administrator. Currently, Travis is a software developer for Key Bank.
