Alice Hauschka excelled on the soccer pitch from 1987-1990, winning four varsity letters and other awards for her prowess on the field.
During her career as a Yeowoman, Hauschka earned All-NCAC first-team and second-team recognition. An All-Ohio first-team and All-Mideast region selection, she helped lead the team to a school-record 10 wins during her junior year. In that record-setting season she scored nine goals and dished out seven assists, totaling 25 points in 18 games played. Furthermore, she was a co-captain and was named most valuable player for both her junior and senior seasons.
In 1991, Hauschka completed her bachelor’s degree in philosophy. After graduation, she attended Pacific Oaks College and earned a teaching certification in 1994. In 2003, Hauschka graduated from the University of Washington with a master’s in education with a focus on outdoor education. Her master’s thesis was entitled Schoolyard Restoration Projects: Developing the Concerned Action of Environmental Stewardship.
Hauschka has been a fifth and sixth grade teacher the past 12 years and currently teaches at The Little School in the Bellevue School District of Seattle, Washington. She continues to be involved with soccer as a coach and member of the Capitol Hill Soccer Association.
