Bernadette Delgado earned three leters in volleyball and four letters in lacrosse owhile working toward her degree in sociology at Oberlin. The highlight of Delgado's athletic career came during her senior year when she was named to the United States Women's Lacrosse Association (USWLA) All-America first-team. In 1985 she established a North Coast Athletic Conference and Oberlin College single-season record with 296 saves. Delgado was named to the first women's lacrosse All-NCAC team and was honored as Oberlin's most inspirational player. During her junior season she earned All-Midwest Lacrosse Association recognition and was named to the National Lacrosse Team. As part of the Oberlin community Delgado was a member of La Union, The Women's Sports Committee, and after graduation spent three years as the assistant women's lacrosse coach. Since leaving Oberlin, she has held various positions with Holiday Inn, WDOK-FM, WWWE-AM, WRMR-AM, and The Benefits Group. She is currently a claims specialist for the Ohio Bureau of Workers Compensation.
