Chris Andrews, a member of the class of 1990, earned a total of 12 varsity letters while at Oberlin. He picked up four letter in soccer, four in indoor track and four in outdoor track. Andrews, one of Oberlin's finest hurdlers, was a three time North Coast Athletic Conference champion and was an All-American as a junior. He holds the Oberlin record for the indoor 60-yard high hurdles and the outdoor 110-meter high hurdles. In each of his four season, he placed no lower than third place in the 100 hurdles at the conference meet, including winning the event as a senior. Andrews earned All-American honors in the 110 high hurdles as a junior. He was a two-time 60-yard hurdles champion as well as NCAA qualifier in the event. After receiving his B.A., in mathematics, Andrews went on to receive his M.A. in mathematics from the University of California at Berkeley, his M.S. and his Ph.D. in statistics from Carnegie Mellon University. Andrews and his wife, Katharine, reside in Oberlin, Ohio with their children Abigail, Georgie and Isabel.
