For over a decade, Michelle Ennis served Oberlin athletics as the head coach of the women’s tennis and women’s swimming and diving teams. Michelle came to Oberlin in 1981 after receiving a Bachelor of Science in education from Northern Illinois University.
Ten years after arriving, she was crowned North Coast Athletic Conference Women’s Tennis Coach of the Year, having led the Yeowomen to a school-record 19 victories. Michelle’s dedication to Oberlin athletics goes beyond the pool deck and hard court as a member of the Heisman Club.
Following her time at Oberlin, she worked as a consultant in information technology, specializing in the medical field.
Michelle earned a master’s degree in education from Northern Illinois University and has conducted doctoral work at Cleveland State University.
An avid traveler, Michelle has been to many continents. She currently resides in Florida where she started her own landscaping company, while still contributing to the medical field as a medical transcriptionist.
