Wooster, Ohio – Traveling a short distance south to face NCAC foe The College of Wooster the Oberlin College women's tennis team notched a convincing 9-0 win and snapped a four match-losing streak.
The Yeowomen swept doubles action and set the tone for the remainder of the match. Seniors
Olivia Hayden and
Kelly Sipp were 8-0 winners versus the Scots' Ashley Stockwell and Bena Hart in the No. 2 position.
A pair of OC first-years,
Rebecca Brown and
Emily Thebaut were inserted into the line-up and came away with their second win together as Oberlin's No.3 duo, downing Boo Flynn and Eden Kovacik (8-2).

Constantine Ananiadis commented, “We played well this afternoon. All the girls were sharp and focused. I was pleased to be back outdoors and to get a good match in as we prepare to host Allegheny this weekend.”
The Yeowomen (11-9, 1-0 NCAC) secured the conference win and snapped a four match losing skid with their fine play through singles. All six Yeowomen were straight set winners.
Finley Gates was able to down Kelsey Jenkins 6-1, 6-0 in the No. 4 slot. Senior,
Sarah Teitelbaum earned her ninth win of the season defeating Suzanne Hamby 6-1, 6-1.
Brown found herself to be in the closest contest of the evening. She and the Fighting Scots' Flynn battled to a close first set. Brown used a 9-7 tiebreak win to take the first set. In the second set Brown used some good rallies and scored good points taking the set 6-4.
The Yeowomen are back in action on Saturday when they host Allegheny College. The match is slated for a 2 p.m. start and will be the final home match for the OC seniors, the team will also honor their parents.
