Greenwood, Indiana – After an historic season for the Oberlin College women's tennis team, Rachel Allen, Eva Lopez, Scarlett Kingston, and Olivia Wollner garnered College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District accolades, announced by the CSC on Tuesday afternoon.

A Mary Esther, Florida native with a major in economics, Allen finished the 2026 season with a 10-7 (3-4) singles record, primarily from court two, improving her winning percentage from .444 to .588 in just one year. In doubles action, Allen and her court partner Kingston won three straight North Coast matches, including a 6-2 victory in the NCAC Quarterfinals over Ohio Wesleyan.

Earning All-NCAC Third-Team honors in singles play between courts two and three, Kingston secured eight singles wins, including three conference victories. En route to a three-match win streak, the studio art major clinched the conference victory for Oberlin with a dominating 6-1, 6-1 win over Ohio Wesleyan.

A data science major with a math minor and integrative concentrations in statistical theory and sports studies management, Lopez has a 3.97 cumulative GPA. Finishing with a 12-9 (4-4) singles record from No. 4 and an 11-8 doubles record, the Bentonville, Arkansas native produced a five-match singles win streak, capped by a 6-0, 6-3 victory for the clinch in the NCAC Quarterfinals.

A neuroscience major from West Hartford, Connecticut, Wollner finished the season with a 13-6 (5-2) doubles record, primarily teaming up with Stella Kollmansberger on court three. Defeating Wooster 6-1, the sophomore maintained a seven-match doubles win streak, including a 6-2 doubles victory in the NCAC Quarterfinals.

"I'm really proud of our athletes for being recognized with this honor. The amount of work, discipline, and consistency it takes to succeed at such a high level both academically and athletically is truly impressive," Head Coach Magda Stepnik adds. "This recognition reflects our program's commitment to excellence not only on the court, but in the classroom and beyond."

The award recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. To be eligible for selection, a student-athlete must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or greater, reach sophomore athletic status, and must be in the lineup for 75 percent of an institution's days of competition (regional competition, such as ITAs and non-team scored events, do not count).

Not graduating any seniors, the Crimson and Gold are set to return their entire roster next season and continue to build after their record-breaking season.
