Oberlin College Athletics

Sean Gavin has no choice but to be on the board. Being a past-president makes this an ex-officio appointment.

Sean is a Mutual Fund Manager at Fidelity Investments, a position for which he is well qualified having been in the Con. When not working, he spends time reading, playing with his kids and doing Crossfit. Rumor has it that he tried distance running a while ago.

His generosity and commitment to Oberlin athletics is legendary. He feels that the Heisman Club offers him the chance to have direct impact on current students.

He recalls his memories of Oberlin as an overarching experience. "It wasn't made on the fields on Saturdays but during conversations on our long bus rides to games, or in chats with coaches as we walked from practice. These interactions led to lessons which changed my life forever and led to lifelong relationships which have shaped my experience both at Oberlin and beyond. I'm a richer person as a result of my experience with Oberlin Athletics and I will forever be a Yeomen."
