Westlake, Ohio — Oberlin College women's soccer sophomore Molly Button was recognized by the North Coast Athletic Conference on Tuesday morning, earning NCAC Athlete of the Week honors following a standout performance  this past week. The honor marks the second time Button has received the award, after earning her first honor last season.

"I am so proud of Molly for earning this well-deserved honor, and I'm grateful to the NCAC for recognizing her excellence." Head Coach Taylor Houck said. "This is a huge testament to not only Molly's hard work but the support of the teammates around her. We are looking forward to having another great week ahead. Go Yeo!" 

Button paced the Yeowomen to a 5-1 victory over Olivet, scoring twice just over a minute apart within the opening four minutes of the contest. The sophomore helped the Obies dominate offensively, as Oberlin finished with a commanding 45-2 advantage in shots. Button converted two of her five attempts into goals to help propel the Crimson and Gold to the decisive victory. 

The Crimson and Gold return to action Tuesday, September 22, hosting Otterbein at 7 p.m.
