Lexington, Kentucky – The Oberlin College volleyball team have earned the AVCA Team Academic Award, as announced by the America Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) on Thursday.
 
With a team GPA of 3.66, this marks the eighth consecutive year that the Yeowomen have earned the prestigious academic honor.
 
Head Coach Jasmine Brown said, "One of our main goals for each semester is making sure that we're valuing time for our academics, and I believe that this award is a big testament to all the work the team has put in. I'm extremely proud of how we finished last year with our overall grades and am looking forward to seeing our continued success in the classroom."
 
The 2025-26 school year proved to be yet another academically dominant year for the association, as 1,432 collegiate and high school volleyball teams maintained a year-long GPA of at least 3.3, to earn the 2026 AVCA Team Academic Award
