Westlake, Ohio – Oberlin College volleyball first-year
Brylie Peters earned a spot on the North Coast Athletic Conference Third-Team, as announced by the league office Monday afternoon.
"I am extremely proud of Brylie. She came in and far exceeded our expectations, embracing a major role from day one and rising to every challenge that came with it." Head Coach
Jasmine Brown remarks of her rookie, "Her versatility was key for us this season, and I have no doubt she'll continue to grow into an incredibly successful student-athlete."
In her first collegiate season, Peters dominated the hardwood and finished among the NCAC's best. A Third-Team All-Conference honoree, the Texan started all 25 of the team's matches and accounted for nearly 24% of Oberlin's points with 272.5. Averaging 2.80 kills per set, Peters ranks sixth in the conference and seventh in total kills (238). Additionally, the opposite hitter's 272.5 points sits eighth overall.
For Peters, it took no time at all to get comfortable in the collegiate rhythm. She notched her first match with 10+ kills in her sixth game with the Crimson and Gold, and finished with five double-doubles in kills and digs.
Brown adds, "No award comes without the support of the entire team. From our starters to our role players, every student-athlete contributed to this honor. I'm proud of how they approached each opponent with fresh energy and a true goldfish mentality. We'll celebrate Brylie, but the work isn't done and we're already looking forward to building on this success in our 2026 campaign."
Peters returns to the court for next season, along with seven other Obies, ready to keep the momentum rolling.
