Box Score 2 Wooster, Ohio - The Oberlin College volleyball team played a pair of matches at the Ginny Hunt Classic on the campus of the College of Wooster on Friday afternoon, falling in four sets to the Geneva College Tornadoes (20-25, 13-35, 28-26, 23-35) before responding with a four-set triumph over Pitt-Greensburg (8-25, 25-13, 25-12, 28-26).
In the victory over the Panthers, three different Yeowomen finished with double-digit kills led by senior Natalie Dufour who hit .400 with 13 send-downs. Zeynep Kaya added 12 kills, while Julia Hall added 10 in the win.
With Iris Archibald out, Jillian Jendsen slotted into the libero role and registered a team-high 18 digs to accompany her three aces, while Josie Macdonald chipped in 13 digs to go along with five aces. First-year Genna Gauither had a strong all-around performance with 27 assists and 11 digs.

After a lackluster first set Oberlin found its footing in the second session and never looked back. In the second frame, Oberlin led 12-8 and ripped off eight straight points to leave no doubt in the outcome. The Yeowomen carried that momentum into the third, opening up a 9-1 lead before grabbing a 2-1 match advantage.
The fourth set was a different story as Oberlin got off to a slow start and trailed 14-10 at the midway point. The Panthers later led 22-17 and appeared to be destined to force a fifth set but the Yeowomen had other ideas.
A 6-0 Oberlin burst that featured a pair of kills from Hall had the Yeowomen out in front by one, 23-22. However, Oberlin was later facing set point but back-to-back kills from Kaya extended the match and it was Dufour who ultimately ended with two straight finishes of her own.
