Kalamazoo, MI - The Oberlin College men's tennis team concluded the fall portion of its schedule at the ITA Central Region Championships over the weekend in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
Rohan Gold cruised in his opening round singles match, blanking Hanover's Gustavo Assumpcao with matching 6-0 counts before falling to Scott Yamamoto of Washington University 5-7, 0-6.
Shawn Lisann also prevailed in his opening round match in the field of 128, outlasting Wooster's Arnav Yadav 7-6, 6-4 before being exited from the tournament by Wash U's Jared Phillips 2-6, 0-6.
The rookie duo
David Mnuskin and
Ben Tichauer competed in doubles, winning their first match over Allegheny's pairing David Rodriguez and Anton Hedlund by an 8-6 scoreline. Unfortunately, they were upended by David Rodriguez and Anton Hedlund of Denison in the round of 32.
The Yeomen will now rest up for the winter before returning to action in early February.
