Box Score Delaware, Ohio – The Oberlin College volleyball team concluded its weekend, falling in straight sets at Ohio Wesleyan University on Saturday afternoon. The Bishops cruised to a commanding 25-15, 25-13 and 25-18 victory.
For the second straight match the Yeowomen were unable to find their offensive rhythm, this time hitting a negative percentage as they totaled 23 kills and 26 errors.
The first-year duo of
Claudia Scott and
Megan Cox proved to be Oberlin's biggest threats as Scott finished with eight kills with just four errors on 21 attempts, while Cox was error free as she added five kills on seven swings.
Molly Powers dig her part in the back, totaling 20 kills in the setback.
The Yeowomen fell to 4-12 overall and 0-2 in the NCAC, while OWU moved to 12-4 and 2-1 in the conference.
Oberlin will look to get back on track when it returns to action on Tuesday night at Allegheny College. The first serve is set for 7 p.m.
