Volleyball Falls at Allegheny

Laura Jessee had 10 kills on the night.
Meadville, PA – The Oberlin College volleyball team fell to the Allegheny College Gators in straight sets on Tuesday evening. The Yeowomen lost by the scores of 25-18, 25-14 and 25-23.
 
Senior Laura Jessee led the Oberlin effort with 10 kills on 24 swings. Christine Antonsen chipped in with seven finishes in the setback.
 
Jenna Bange ran the OC offense with 25 assists and had a nice all-around match, adding eight digs and four kills of her own.
 
Defensively, rookie Molly Powers led the way with 21 digs, while Emma Kimmel helped the cause with 13.
 
Oberlin finished with 35 total kills compared to the Gators' 32, but the Yeowomen were plagued by 27 attack errors and 10 service errors.
 
The Yeowomen will look to get back on track when they return to action on Thursday at John Carroll. The first serve is set for 7 p.m.
