Laura Jessee (5) had 13 kills in the match.
Box Score

Adrian, Mich. -
Laura Jesssee continued to shine, but the shorthanded Oberlin College volleyball team didn't have enough to get by Adrian College on Saturday afternoon as they fell to the Bulldogs in straight sets 25-18, 30-28, 25-18.

Jessee, a sophomore from Roanoke, Virginia, hit .290 in the match with 13 kills on 31 swings. Unfortunately, nobody else could really get in rhythm for the Yeowomen as they hit .078 as a team. Chinwe Okona had the second most kills on the team with just five.

Defensively, it was Lizzie Orfaly who led the way with 18 digs. Amanda Wysk and first-year Kristen Johnson added 13 and 10 digs, respectively.

The Yeowomen were without two of their best players in seniors Maggie Jacobson and Anna Frackman.

Oberlin will look to get things going when it returns home to host Otterbein College on Tuesday night at 7 p.m.
