Men's Tennis Drops Final GLCA Match to Albion

Joe Leffler and Sam Towne garnered Oberlin's only win today at No. 2 doubles

Granville, Ohio – The Oberlin College men's tennis squad concluded play this morning in the Great Lakes College Association Tournament with a match against Albion College. The Britons notched an 8-1 win over the Yeomen.

Joe Leffler and Sam Towne, Oberlin's No. 2 pairing in doubles play, were the lone winners in today's match. They defeated Albion's Ben Miller and Billy Sessions 8-3.

In the top spot for the Yeomen Ben Godlove and Eliot Heaton had the match slip from their fingers. The Briton's Jonny Vinson and Brent Parshall edged out a 9-8 (8-6) win.

#Sergion Sanchez hitting six singles today battled with Dave Blake but struggled to finish a couple set points leading to a 7-6 (7-0), 7-5 setback.

Towne squared off against Sessions for the second time in the match at No. 4 singles, however in singles action Session ended with the victory using identical 6-4 sets to take the match.

Oberlin will be back in action April 13th at Denison University for a North Coast Athletic Conference match beginning at 4:30 p.m.
