Sept. 10 – The Yeowomen Volleyball team faced off against Bluffton University for the third time in this young 2008 season. Unfortunately for Oberlin, the Beavers seem to have their number as they cruised to a 3-0 win on their home court. After taking one game from BU in their first meeting the Yeowomen dropped three tough games 25-16, 25-16, and 25-14.

The lone bright spot for the Yeowomen was sophomore middle hitter Maggie Jacobson. The 5-11 Jacobson brought another consistent effort in all three games, as she has in every game and match so far this season.

The injury-plagued Yeowomen will have a week to prepare for the opening of the North Coast Athletic Conference season, which will open for Oberlin on Wednesday, September 17. To kick off NCAC action, Oberlin will travel to the Keystone State to play Allegheny College at 7 pm.
