The injury-plagued Oberlin College volleyball team suffered a 3-0 (25-20, 25-23, 25-19) setback to Ohio Wesleyan in NCAC action on Friday night at Philips gym.

Already missing star outside hitter Amanda Wysk, Oberlin was also without the services of standout middle hitter, Maggie Jacobson, in tonight's match – forcing many changes to Oberlin's traditional rotations.

“We played really hard,” head coach Carey Cavanaugh said. “Unfortunately, with many people playing out of position were unable to execute at the right times in order to win the match.”

Although the Oberlin offense never really got in rhythm, the defense played well by registering 75 digs on the night. Anna Frackman led the way with a season-high 19, while first-years Kaitlyn Moushon and Elizabeth Wong checked in with 14 and 13 respectively.

Oberlin plays host to Denison on Tuesday night at 7 p.m. in the second match of a mini three-match homestand for the Yeowomen.
