Kansas City, Missouri – The Oberlin College women's soccer team was honored for its work in the classroom, earning the United Soccer Coaches College (USC) Team Academic Award, as announced by USC Friday afternoon.

The Crimson and Gold finished with an impressive 3.56 cumulative GPA this year.

With 777 programs honored this year, Oberlin was one of 175 schools that landed both their men's and women's programs on the academic list. Among the North Coast Athletic Conference, four teams were recognized alongside the Crimson and Gold.

"This award is a testament to the hard work, discipline, and commitment our scholar-athletes show every day as they balance the demands of academics and athletics," Head Coach Taylor Houck said. "I couldn't be prouder of what this team accomplished, and we are grateful for the faculty, staff, and campus resources that support our scholars' success both in the classroom and on the field."

To be eligible, teams must hold a grade point average of 3.0 or higher for the 2025-26 academic year.

The team opens its season on Tuesday, September 1 in New Wilmington, Pennsylvania, against Westminster before returning home that weekend to host Calvin on & Shults Field for a noon kickoff.
