Westlake, Ohio – After the Oberlin College women's soccer team wrapped their 2025 season, Jemma Freestone, Skylar Leung, and Zoe Steinhauer earned North Coast Athletic Conference honors, as announced by the conference office on Wednesday afternoon.

All three student-athletes were named to the All-Conference Third-Team, representing a variety of positions. Freestone at defense, with Leung and Steinhauer in the midfield.

"I'm really proud of our three All-NCAC selections. It's great to see their hard work recognized." Head Coach Taylor Houck remarks, "Jemma played with incredible passion and intensity every match, setting the tone for our team's competitive spirit. In the midfield, both Zoe and Skylar showed consistency, craft, and composure in possession, anchoring our play and leading by example."

Freestone, a senior defender for the Crimson and Gold, started and played in 15 matches this season. Notching an assist in the season opener against Wilmington, Freestone has backed an Oberlin defense that gave up fewer shots, fewer shots per game, and earned fewer cautions than the 2024 campaign.

A second-year sensation from New Jersey, Leung balanced the midfield with a pair of goals and an assist this year. Leung started and played in all 17 matches and was second on the team in minutes played with 1,464. She also scored the game-winning goal against Olivet on September 13.

Steinhauer has been the backbone of the Oberlin midfield, starting in all but six games of her career. The vet scored in Oberlin's road test against Olivet, notching the only goal of her career. True to her position, the midfielder played a critical role in transitioning the ball from defense to offense, helping the Crimson and Gold score nearly 100 goals during her time on the pitch.

"I'm so proud of these three and the impact they've made on our program. Their recognition reflects not only their individual excellence but also the respect they've earned from coaches across the conference. They've set a standard through their work ethic, consistency, and commitment that's made a real difference for our team," Houck finishes.

Freestone and Steinhauer are set to graduate in spring, while Leung returns to a young team ready to make a statement in the North Coast.
