Wooster, Ohio – Opening day one of the Wooster Invitational, the Oberlin College track & field team had a strong showing with their throwing squad on Friday afternoon.
Facing one of the most competitive throwing fields in the last few years,
Judah Moenoa registered a personal best of 36.61m in the hammer throw.
Abraham Cromartie V placed just two positions behind Moenoa, launching a mark of 35.68m.
"This meet had by far the most competitive fields we've seen in the last few years. It was a great opportunity to compete and really try to put together what we've been working on into action," Assistant Coach
Jillian Roberts added. "We got to see quite a few PRs across both the men's and women's throwers, which brings awesome momentum as we head into All-Ohio next week."
Due to the weather conditions, the women's hammer remains incomplete and will resume action tomorrow, along with the rest of the meet, on Saturday, April 4, with events starting at 11 a.m.
