Greenwood, Indiana – Continuing their postseason recognition from the conference to the district, the Oberlin College men's soccer team has landed six of its student-athletes on the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honors list.

Michael Dolton, Graham Field, Jack Kaplan, Leo Pelizzari-Astle, Matthew Taubman, and Lukas Verling earned the accolade for the first time in their careers.

The award recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the pitch and in the classroom. To be eligible for selection, a student-athlete must have reached sophomore athletic status and either competed in 90% of the team's sets or started in at least 66% of matches while maintaining a 3.50 or higher cumulative grade point average.

Dolton, an NCAC Third-Teamer and an Economics major, played in all 19 games for the Yeomen this season. His eight goals led the team and finished third overall in the North Coast.

A Psychology and Business double-major, Field made a pair of starts among 19 appearances for Oberlin this year. The senior balanced the wings and tallied an assist in the team's contest against Kalamazoo this year.

An Evanston, IL native, Kaplan is pursuing a degree in Economics and makes his debut on the CSC list. The junior recorded 667 minutes this season, and continues to be a sparkplug for the Yeomen in the midfield.

Pelizzari-Astle adds to his trophy case this year after being named to the NCAC Third-Team earlier this month. The Environmental Studies major played a career-high 1,367 minutes this season while recording five 90-minute matches.

Taubman started and played in 16 games this year, totaling more than 1,300 minutes on the pitch. The senior center back is set to graduate with a degree in Mathematics.

The Crimson and Gold starting net minder, Verling, recorded 79 saves this season and holds a career save percentage of .706. Studying Financial Economics, Verling is set to continue as the lead keeper next year.

"I am very proud of these guys for being selected for this honor." Head Coach Blake New continues, "One of our team tenets is that we will strive to prioritize our academics and pursue excellence in the classroom. Obviously, these guys are doing exactly that and are preparing themselves for a bright future."

Field and Taubman are set to graduate in the spring, but Dolton, Kaplan, Pelizzari-Astle, and Verling prepare for their return and the 2026 season.
