Westlake, Ohio – Two student-athletes from the Oberlin College men's soccer team were named to the North Coast Athletic Conference All-Conference list, as announced by the league office Thursday afternoon.
Michael Dolton earned All-Conference Third-Team honors as a forward, while
Leo Pelizzari-Astle earned Third-Team accolades as a midfielder.
"I'm really happy the NCAC coaches recognized the contributions of Mike and Leo after a very challenging season." Head Coach
Blake New adds, "I'm proud that they are representing Oberlin at the conference level."
Dolton, a prolific junior attacker, led the team in goals and finished third in the North Coast with eight. The Canadian scored 16 points overall, which ranks seventh in the conference. Dolton scored a pair of game-winning goals this year, clinching victories against in-state rivals Baldwin Wallace and Capital. This marks the junior's first time on the All-Conference list.
A leader in the midfield, Pelizzari-Astle played a critical role in Oberlin's clean transition game that saw the Yeomen account for fewer fouls than last year's total. Additionally, the New Yorker added a goal in the team's battle against Muskingum. For Pelizzari-Astle, this is his first time landing among the end-of-season All-Conference honorees.
Both Dolton and Pelizzari-Astle are set to return to a team that will graduate just four seniors.
