Box Score Oberlin, OH- The Oberlin College men's tennis team hosted NCAC rival the DePauw Tigers at home for a dual match on Saturday afternoon. Although plenty of close matchups, the Yeomen fell 3-6 to drop to 3-8 on the season.

Starting with doubles, the Tigers earned the first point of the afternoon with an 8-2 over No. 1 doubles pair
James Dill and
Grant North.
Rohan Gold and
Sean Billerbeck even the match with an 8-4 in the No. 3 spot before
Sebastien Naginski and
Ben Echikson dropped their match in 8-5 fashion.

Down 2-1 to DePauw, Oberlin picked it up with a 6-2, 6-1 win from Gold in the No. 3 single spot. Tied at 2-2 the Spartans retook the lead with their first singles win coming from the Wyatt Metzger in the No. 2 spot over Dill (6-0, 6-3). DePauw earned another pair of victories over
Sam Topper (7-6, 6-3) and Billerbeck (7-5, 6-7, 2-6) to clinch the dual win. North and Naginski split the final pair of matches, both finishing in third sets. North lost 1-6, 6-4, 2-6 while Naginski too the final victory in a long extra set for a final score of 4-6, 6-4, 13-11.
The Yeomen take a short break before returning to action on Friday, March 25 in a home match against Case Western. The Yeomen will look to avenge their October loss to the Spartans with the first serve at 5pm.
