Oberlin, OH – The Oberlin College swimming and diving team hosted the second day of competition for the Oberlin Invitational. Prior to the start of the day, the women sat in first place with 374.5 points, while the men held fifth with 206 points.

Diving got the second day of competition started as
Sophie Schnake competed in the women's 3mtr dive. Over 11 dives, the senior tallied 267.25 points to earn bronze in the finals. On the men's side, rookie diver
Lucas Draper amassed 245.65 to finish fifth overall.

In the lanes, the women's 200-meter relay took second place led by first-year
Ava Peyton with a time of 1:51.44. The yeowomen continued to succeed in the pool as
Bella Sites took first in the 400-yard IM, dominating the competition with a time of 4:50.51. The Yeomen finally found success as
Erik Fendorf tied for fourth with Baldwin Wallace in the men's 100-yard butterfly event.
Isaac Viviano continued Oberlin's winning ways with a silver finish in the men's 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 58.06. In the final individual event of the evening, Peyton earned a first-place finish with a time of 1:00.53 in the 100-yard backstroke.

On the women's side of the 800-yard relay, the team of Sites,
Charlotte Hantus,
Emily Ferrari, and
Sofia Martin del Campo finished third with a time of 8:21.55. For the men, Viviano, Fendorf,
Myles Felts, and
Dylan Bechtold finished in 7:12.99 for a fourth-place finish.

At the end of the second day, the Yeowomen remain in the lead with 820.5 points, closely followed by Allegheny with 785.5 points. On the men's side, Oberlin sits in fifth place with 555.5 points. Leading the way with 833.5 points for the men is Alfred State.
