Greenwood, Indiana – Eight members of the Oberlin College swim & dive team earned a spot on the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honor roll.

Yasmeen Boulaknadal,
Kendall McKelvey,
Nyrobi Whitfield, and
Yoo Soomin earned the honor, while
Charles Matia,
James Moll,
John Polylogidis,
Yuan Wang were tabbed on the men's team.
Boulaknadal, a Sociology major, scored 443.60 points for the Yeowomen this season. The Texas native secured personal bests at the Hiram/Bethany double-dual meet, where she swam a 36.37 in the 50-yard back and a 1:20.41 in the 100-yard back races.
A Geoscience major from Maryland, Matia ranked third on the team in points with 618.40. The senior had four top-ten performances this year, with two of them being individual records. His 100-yard breast time of 57.46 ranks fourth all-time, while his 200-yard breast time of 2:06.80 is third.
McKelvey a sociology major with a 4.16 cumulative GPA, notched 467.45 points during the season, and swam the butterfly leg of the 200 and 400-yard medley relays. Her best swims came at the NCAC Championships and the Case Western Reserve Spartan Invite, when she PR'd in the 200-yard butterfly (2:23.63), 200-yard IM (2:23.58), and 100-yard IM (1:06.43) races.
Moll, an Economics major, holds four top-ten performances, with three of them ranking second all-time. With 580.85 points this season, Moll swam five personal bests this season, including a 54.47 in the 100-yard IM that ranks sixth all-time.
A Financial Economics and Business double-major, Polylogidis had a breakout sophomore year for the Yeomen, scoring 561.05 points and recording five personal-bests this season. He claimed one crown this year, winning the 50-yard sprint free in a time of 24.86 at the Hiram/Bethany double-dual meet.
Wang, a Mathematics major, had an excellent year in the pool while making his collegiate debut on the diving board. The junior competed in both the 1-mtr and 3-mtr dive events, ending the year with a PR in the 1-mtr dive (six dives) with a score of 187.50.
A Geosciences and Environmental Studies double-major, Whitfield scored 494.15 points this season, and led the Yeowomen's senior class. The Buckeye native has her name etched on six program top-ten performances, including a top-five time in the 100-yard IM race (1:03.22).
Yoo, a Chemistry and Biology double-major led the women's team in points scored, with 569.50 this year. The sophomore broke the school record in the 100-yard breast during the NCAC Championships and finished top-ten in the 100-yard breast, 200-yard breast, and all four relays.
The award recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the pool and in the classroom. To be eligible for selection, a student-athlete must have reached sophomore athletic status and compete in 75 percent of competitions or finish top-eight at a conference meet or participate in a national championship while maintaining a 3.50 or higher cumulative grade point average.
The squad graduates six seniors, including Whitfield, this spring, but returns a plethora of depth to the roster for the 2026-27 season.
