Meadville, PA – Members of the Oberlin College track and field team tried to punch a ticket to the NCAA Championships at the Allegheny College Gator Invite.

Urso led the band of Yeomen and Yeowomen who traveled to Pennsylvania by beating the men's 800-meter record, which has gone untested since 1980. The Washington, Pennsylvania native, crossed the line at 1:53.71, besting the previous program record of 1:54.40 held by Todd Portune. Up against some of the nation's best, Urso finished fifth overall.

The women's 4 x 400 team consisting of Drafts-Johnson, Deirdre Haren, Ashley Parish and Margaret Miller finished third with a time of 4:00.09, shaving two seconds from their conference championship performance last week.
