ResultsOberlin, Ohio - The Oberlin College men's tennis team continued its run of playing high quality opponents as they fell to the No. 8 Spartans of Case Western Reserve 9-0 on Friday afternoon.
While the Spartans did not drop a set in the match, the Yeomen did not make things easy for them.
The No. 1 and 3 doubles matches both ended in an 8-5 scoreline, while the Yeomen also turned good efforts in the No.3 and No. 5 singles matches.
At No. 3
Soren Zeliger nearly took the first set from Derek Reinbold before ultimately falling 6-4, 6-2.
Abraham Davis played in the fifth position, dropping his first set to Bas van Lent by a 6-2 count before making him earn a 6-4 win in the second.
The Yeomen, who dropped to 10-9 with the loss, are back in action at home on Saturday. They will take on NCAC West foe Denison University at 1 p.m.
