Box Score

Berea, Ohio – The Oberlin College men's soccer team scored its first goal of the season, but it wasn't enough as two first-half goals by the Baldwin-Wallace College Yellow Jackets left the Yeomen on the wrong end of a 2-1 decision on Tuesday night at George Finnie Stadium.

The Yellow Jackets netted an early score and added another late in the opening half off a corner kick opportunity.

The Yeomen finally broke through just before the 60-minute mark as Oliver Miller-Farrell cashed in a breakaway opportunity. After the score the Yeomen attempted just two shots the rest of the game, but both were off frame.

Despite being out-shot 12-7, the Yeomen did have a 9-2 edge in corner kicks.

Senior Chris Sundy got his first start of the season in the goal cage and played all 90 minutes. He finished the game with six saves.

Oberlin returns to action on Friday afternoon against the region's top-ranked team in the Polar Bears of Ohio Northern. All of the action will get underway at 3 p.m. from Ada, Ohio.
