Gambier, Ohio – The Oberlin College men's soccer team found themselves on the wrong end of a 1-0 decision at Kenyon College on Saturday afternoon.
The lone score of the game came in the 25th minute courtesy of J.J. Jemison as he beat Oberlin keeper
Brandt Rentel to the far post.
The Lords controlled the run of the play throughout the contest as they had a 24-4 advantage in shots, but just six of them were on goal. None of Oberlin's four triggers were on frame.
The Yeomen forced just two corner kick opportunities, while the Spartans squeezed off 10.
Kenyon got whistled for 15 fouls, while the Yeomen were guilty of infractions of just five times.
Rentel kept Oberlin within striking distance by making five saves.
Oberlin, which fell to 4-9 overall and 1-3 in the NCAC, returns to action on October 12 at Denison University.
