Oberlin, Ohio - Ari Schwartz's game-winning goal with 5:38 left in the second overtime propelled the Oberlin College men's soccer team to a thrilling 3-2 come-from-behind victory on Wednesday night at Fred Shults Field.

The game-winner, which was Schwartz's first goal of the season, came following a corner kick service into the box. Following a header by Justin Griffiths the ball got batted around in the box before Schwartz belted it into the back of the cage.

The end-game heroics wouldn't even have happened if it were for senior Oliver Miller-Farrell as he tied the game at 2-2 with just 42 seconds left in regulation. On the play the keeper ran out at him, but totally missed, leaving the goal wide open for Miller-Farrell to finish the job. He was setup for the score by Joe Graybeal.

Oberlin netted the first goal of the game at the 19:23 mark of the first half when Griffiths chipped in a shot over the keeper's head. Both Graybeal and Matt Capozzi set him up for the score.

The Gators would add the equalizer just before the half and later tack on the go-ahead score in the 71st minute to go up 2-1.

Oberlin had numerous opportunities to win it in the first overtime period as four of their five shots in the session were on frame, while another shot flew just wide. The stanza was pretty indicative as to how the whole game went as Oberlin had chances throughout the contest.

The Yeomen finished with a 26-19 edge in shots as they squeezed off eight attempts in the two overtime periods alone. Corner kicks were dead even at seven apiece.

Brandt Rentel played an outstanding game in goal, making seven saves on the night to help keep Oberlin within striking distance in the closing moments.

Oberlin will conclude the regular season when it travels west to take on nationally ranked DePauw on Saturday afternoon at 2:30 p.m.
