Wooster, Ohio - Andrew Wise scored just a 1:14 into the game, but the Yeomen were kept off the scoreboard from there which allowed the College of Wooster Fighting Scots to come away with a 2-1 win over the Oberlin College men's soccer team on Saturday afternoon.

Despite the outcome, Oberlin controlled the run of play throughout, evident by an 18-12 advantage in shots, which included 8-5 edge in shots on goal. The Yeomen also triggered seven corner kicks compared to just four for the Scots.

After falling behind early, Wooster would get even early in the second half thanks to an Evan Severs' goal. The game-winner didn't come until just under 10 minutes remained when George Skelly beat Oberlin keeper Brandt Rentel with an assist coming from Noah Wagermann.

Following the go-ahead score the Yeomen frantically tried to add the equalizer, but shots by Oliver Miller-Farrell, Joe Graybeal and Aidan Apel were either saved by Scots' keeper Aaron McKee or off frame all together. McKee finished with seven saves for the victors.

With the loss Oberlin fell to 5-11-0 overall and 2-5-0 in the league. Wooster improved to 5-8-1 and 1-6-0 in the NCAC.

Miller-Farrell led OC with four shots, while Rentel finished with three saves.
