Wooster, OH - The Yeoswimmers continued to put up strong performances on the second day of the Wooster Invitational.

Jane McIntyre turned in a season best time in the 400-yard individual medley (4:49.55) to earn 7th place. Jenny Meltz had a strong performance in the same event, taking 14th place (4:54.13).

Sara Kadi and Kate Melanson represented the Yeowomen in the final heat of the 100-yard butterfly. Kadi swam to a 4th place finish with a time of 59.36. Melanson rounded out the final field in 8th place (1:01.17).

Jordan Jancosek and Alden Gilliom both contributed to the team's performance in the 100-yard breastroke. Jancosek was 21st (1:15.35) and Gilliom placed 23rd (1:16.01).

The Yeowomen finished up the night session with a strong performance in the 800-yard freestyle relay. The team of Meltz, Kadi, Melanson and McIntyre placed 7th in the event with a time of 8:05.38.

The Yeomen had a strong showing in the 100-yard butterfly. Corey Spiro led the way for the team taking 14th (53.61) with teammates Luke Harrison in 20th (55.61) and Dimitri Macris in 23rd (56.47).

Chris Pickens was 8th in the 200-yard freestyle (1:47.33) while senior Jon Vimr took 21st with a time of 1:50.53.

First-years Dylan Jordan and Isaac Bacon had solid performances in the 100-yard backstroke. Jordan won his consolation final heat with a strong finish to take 9th place (54.66). Bacon was 20th in the event (57.87).

The Yeoswimmers and Yeodivers return to action tomorrow for the final day of competition. Prelims start at 10 a.m. and finals are at 5 p.m.
