Westlake, Ohio – Oberlin College men's swim and dive senior
Leo Powers opened his final season in dominant fashion, earning North Coast Athletic Conference Athlete of the Week honors.
At the Oberlin Early Invite, Powers headlined the weekend with a school-record swim and multiple top-three finishes.
Powers broke the Oberlin record in the 100 IM, winning the event in 52.48, while also placing third in the 100 butterfly (50.85) and eighth in the 200 IM (1:58.22). His strong individual performances were matched by his relay success, helping the Yeomen to top-three finishes in four events– second in both the 200 free relay (1:25.40) and 800 free relay (7:05.86), and third in the 400 medley relay (3:29.21) and 400 free relay (3:10.71).
In addition to his school record, Powers' weekend swims now rank among the top 10 in program history across multiple events, underscoring his versatility and continued excellence in the pool.
