Oberlin, Ohio - Fans bundled up to watch this afternoon's women's lacrosse game hoping for a win, but the Oberlin College Yeowomen were not able to keep up with the Claremont Mudd Scripps Athenas, losing 19-6.
Senior
Dana Rich scored three of Oberlin's six goals on the day, two off of free-position attempts,but her first half efforts were not enough to deter the CMS offense. CMS led the game 12-4 at the half after gaining momentum early in the contest.
Freshman goalkeeper
Emily Perry had 12 saves and was able to slow down the Athenas, allowing only seven goals in the second half. Oberlin was only able to add two more goals on the board considering they lost the draw control battle 17-8.
The Yeowomen will return to conference play on Wednesday, April 22, when they host Denison at 4:30 p.m.
