Westlake, Ohio – After a season filled with milestones and record, the Oberlin College women's lacrosse team saw four student-athletes awards with North Coast Athletic Conference honors, as announced by the league office Wednesday afternoon.
Megan Hiller and
Maddie Weathers led the crew with All-Conference Second-Team laurels, while
Kylie Thompson and
Olivia Corradi landed on the Third-Team. For Weathers and Corradi, this is their first-career postseason honor, tack on their second.
Head Coach
Malory Nadrah said, "I'm super proud of these players for earning recognition, they are very deserving and all played key roles in our success this year."
Hiller, a standout senior attacker for the Yeowomen, started all 17 games this season and was second in the conference in points (79) and points/game (4.65). Finishing her career with 131 goals and 207 points, the Maryland native sits second all-time in program history for career goals and points. In her final game, Hiller added three assists to break the single-season assist record, last set by Hayley Drapkin '19 in 2018.
With her first NCAC honor, Weathers led the team on the backline with 18 caused turnovers, to finish with 70 on her career. Second on the team in draw controls (35), Weathers anchored a defense that allowed 42 less goals this season, and forced a decrease in opponent shots, shots on goals, and shooting percentage.
Grabbing her second All-NCAC honor in as many years, Thompson led the conference in points with 84. Her point total sits second all-time in program history for single season points, while her 55 goals ranked fourth in the conference this year. Additionally, at 4.94 points/game, Thompson was top of the North Coast in scoring production.
Rounding out the list with a well-deserved honor to finish her career, Corradi was the team-leader in draw controls and third in goals and points. The New Jersey midfielder had a breakout year on the circle, collecting 49 draw controls during the season.
Women's lacrosse graduates a large senior class including Hiller, Weathers and Corradi, but with the return of the conference's leading scorer in Thompson, Oberlin is set to have another breakout year.
