Complete Day Two Results

Canton, Ohio –
Day two of the NCAC Swimming & Diving Championships saw four more school records fall.

Senior Scott McInerney continued his amazing meet by establishing a new school record in the 100-yard butterfly with an NCAA “B” cut time of 50.71. His effort bested that of John Limouze, whose time of 51.63 has stood since 2000.

Freshman Bud Stracker will certainly remember his first conference championship meet as he posted a new Oberlin-best mark of 1:00.25 in the 100-yard breast. His swim tops that of Josh Davis, who checked in at 1:00.56 back in 1994.

The pairing of Nick Lashway and  Jebran Haddad combined with Stracker and McInerney to complete the 200-yard medley in 1:36.31 to set a new school-best mark.

On the women's side, the foursome of Laura Fries, Krista Currier, Sara Kadi and Bryne Ulmschneider completed the 200-yard medley relay in 1:52.69 to set a new school record in the event.

Kadi also continued to shine individually by touching the wall in 58.53 in the 100-yard butterfly – good for her second NCAA “B” cut of the meet.

Through 13 events the Yeomen sit in seventh place with 315 points. The Yeowomen, who have completed 14 events, rest in sixth with 399 points.

The NCAC Championships will conclude with the third and final day of action tomorrow night.
