Oberlin, Ohio – Oberlin College Head Field Hockey Coach
Jess West welcomes
Lauren Voigt as the Assistant Field Hockey Coach ahead of the 2026 season.
"I'm thrilled to welcome Lauren to the Oberlin Field Hockey family. Having known her for many years, I know firsthand the passion, energy, and care she brings to coaching. We've been shaped by many of the same coaching philosophies and hockey experiences, and I couldn't be more excited to bring our perspectives together," Head Coach Jess West adds. "Lauren is deeply committed to developing student-athletes and building meaningful relationships, making her a tremendous fit for our program. As we continue building on the momentum we've created, I'm excited for the impact she'll have on our team and what we'll accomplish together."
Bringing over a decade of coaching experience, Voigt comes to Oberlin after serving as the Head Field Hockey Coach at Wooster for two years. Coaching five All-North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) honorees, the Fighting Scots produced 16 athletes to the Dr. Gordon Collins Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll under Voigt's direction.
Prior to her time in the North Coast, Voigt coached at Elizabethtown for 11 years. Serving as the Assistant Field Hockey Coach for ten years, Voigt was promoted to the head coach ahead of the 2023 season. During her time at Elizabethtown, the Blue Jays recorded seven Landmark Conference Tournament appearances, including the Landmark Conference Tournament Championship title in 2016 to earn an automatic qualifier to the NCAA Tournament. Voigt also served as the Assistant Women's Lacrosse Coach for seven seasons.
"I'm really excited to join the Oberlin field hockey program and work alongside Jess. Having coached against her in the NCAC, I've seen firsthand the culture and standard she has built within the program. I have a ton of respect for the way her team is coached, and I'm looking forward to collaborating with her, building relationships with the student-athletes, and contributing to the continued growth of the program," Voigt continues.
A four-year forward at Messiah, Voigt and the Falcons won four straight Commonwealth Conference Championships, finishing as back-to-back NCAA Tournament Runner-Ups in 2009 and 2010. Voigt earned her bachelor's degree in health and exercise science with a minor in psychology from Messiah in 2011.
