Westlake, Ohio – For the first time in her career, Oberlin College women's tennis rookie Stella Kollmansberger has been named the North Coast Athletic Conference Athlete of the Week, as announced by the league office Tuesday morning.

The first-year led the Yeowomen from the top of the lineup during a strong week of competition.

Kollmansberger went 2-1 at No. 1 singles, earning straight-set victories in dominant 7-0 team wins over Savannah State (6-0, 6-2) and Augustana (6-2, 7-5). She competed again at the top spot against Colby, gaining valuable experience against tough competition.

In doubles, Kollmansberger and partner Olivia Wollner dropped a tight 6-4 decision against Colby. Her performance at No. 1 singles helped anchor Oberlin during a successful stretch that included two shutout victories.

Oberlin returns to the court on Saturday, April 4 when they host No. 18 Kenyon for a morning matchup. The first serve of the conference contest is slated for 9:30 a.m.
