Greenwood, Indiana – Four student-athletes from the Oberlin College women's basketball team were selected to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District list, announced by the CSC on Tuesday afternoon.
Angela Kumler and Krystal Montas earn their first career CSC laurel while Lily Najmulski and Ellie Pollock-Ballard secure their second CSC award after earning the honors upon conclusion of the 2023-24 season.
Producing a team-high and conference-best 97 steals, Angela Kumler was named the Top Defensive Player of the Year by the North Coast and earned her second All-Conference Second-Team award. An Environmental Studies and Biology double major, the Ohio native started in 25 games during the 2025-26 season.
A defensive leader in multiple categories, Krystal Montas led Oberlin with 34 blocks and 165 rebounds. Delivering 14 double-digit point games, the sociology major recorded two double-doubles during the 2025-26 season, including a career-high 21-point, 11-rebound game against Denison.
Boasting a 4.08 cumulative GPA, Lily Najmulski led the Crimson and Gold with 46 three-pointers, registering a team-high .362 three-point shooting percentage. Going 8-12 from behind the arc in a North Coast match-up at DePauw, the biology major ties for second all-time in three-point field goals made in a single game.
A sharpshooter from behind the arc, Ellie Pollock-Ballard tallied 42 three-pointers and finished with a pair of 20+ point games this season. Going a perfect 6-6 from behind the arc in a North Coast contest at Ohio Wesleyan, the Columbus native started in the final 21 games of her career, totaling 86 games.
"I am so proud of these four incredible student-athletes and the way they represent our team, our department, and Oberlin College," Head Coach Stephany Dunmyer continues. "They are committed to excellence in the classroom–and that same discipline, focus, and accountability has positively impacted our program on the court as well!"
The award recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. To be eligible for selection, a student-athlete must have reached sophomore athletic status and either competed in 90% of the team's games or started in at least 66% of the institution's contests while maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher.
