Oberlin, Ohio – As announced by Inside Lacrosse's Nike Lacrosse Preseason Media Poll, Oberlin College men's lacrosse junior,
Colin Taylor, has been named an All-American Honorable Mention for defense.
Taylor, believed to be the first player to earn a Preseason All-American honor in program history, was named a United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) All-American Honorable Mention at then of last season.
Denison, Kenyon, Ohio Wesleyan, and Wooster also earned nods on the list, accounting for a total of ten additional student-athletes recognized from the North Coast Athletic Conference.
"While this is an awesome recognition, it doesn't make the team, or me, stray from the goal that everyone involved in the program has: to win an NCAC championship." Taylor says, "I'm excited for us to kick off our season at home on Feb 21, to show everyone the hard work we have been putting in all offseason."
The Baltimore, Maryland native currently holds the career caused turnover record (92), single-season caused turnovers record (49, 2024) and is tied for first in single-game caused turnovers (8, 4/17/24). To date, Taylor has started and played in all 21 games of his career, 92 caused turnovers, 109 ground balls, and nine points.

The Crimson and Gold are set to open their season on Saturday, February 21 when they host Ursinus for the first time in program history. Face-off is set for 1 p.m.
