Fuller, Makatiani, and Moak Earn Selection to USTFCCCA All-Academic List

New Orleans, Louisiana - After an impressive season resulting in multiple All-America honors and conference championship titles, Cole Fuller, Namu Makatiani, and Walter Moak of the Oberlin College men's track and field team have been named to the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic list. 

In order to be eligible for nomination, student-athletes must have a cumulative grade-point average (GPA) of 3.3 or greater. Additionally, student-athletes must have finished the season among the top 50 individual Division III performances on the Track & Field Results Reporting System database. 

Ranking 23rd in the 400m hurdles with a time of 52.74, Fuller finished 18th overall in the 400m hurdles at the 2025 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships. The Chicago native highlighted his senior season with a North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) title in the 400m hurdles, marking his third straight NCAC title in the event. Earning USTFCCCA All-Academic accolades for the second consecutive year, Fuller finished his career with nine All-NCAC performances and a program record in the 400m hurdles. 

Finishing his junior season with a pair of All-America Second-Team honors in the triple jump with a tenth-place finish at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships and a 14th-place finish at the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships, Makatiani's qualifying mark of 14.72m ranked 18th in the nation leading up to the outdoor national championship. During the indoor season, the Kenya native ranked 17th in Division III with a mark of 14.41m in the triple jump. The 2025 indoor and outdoor NCAC champion in the triple jump, Makatiani has a pair of NCAC triple jump titles from the 2023-24 track & field season as well as six other All-NCAC performances, four program records, and three USTFCCCA All-Academic honors.

A three-time NCAC champion in the 3000m steeplechase, Moak's national-qualifying steeplechase time of 8:55.45 ranked 16th in Division III for the 2025 outdoor season. Finishing with All-America Second-Team accolades after placing 11th in the steeplechase at the NCAA Championship, Moak concluded his track & field career with two NCAA appearances, seven NCAC titles, 13 All-NCAC performances, four Oberlin College program records, and three USTFCCCA All-Academic awards.
