Box Score Kalamazoo, MI - Select members of the Oberlin College women's tennis team competed at the ITA Central Regional Championships over the weekend on the campus of Kalamazoo College.
Senior
Anna Pastore drew a first-round bye in singles in the round of 128 as the 84th seed but was dispatched in the round of 64 by Lilliam Dockal of Lake Forest College by matching 6-4 counts.
Transfer
Rachel Allen dropped her first-round matchup to DePauw's Katie King by 6-4 and 6-0 scores. However, Allen bounced back with a 6-4, 6-1 triumph over Ohio Northern's Katherine O'Connell in the consolation bracket.
In doubles play, the Oberlin tandem of
Freya Rahm and
Eva Lopez was outlasted by the Wooster duo of Janaki Jagannathan and Elyse Errington in a tiebreaker 8-7 (7-5). They would later fall 6-2 in the consolation bracket against Transylvania's Katherine Taylor and Lilly Hartman.
Oberlin's next scheduled match isn't until November 9 when they are slated to host Baldwin Wallace University.
