Oberlin, Ohio - Second-year head coach
John Pont is ready to lead the 134th version of Oberlin College football into the season with excitement and enthusiasm.
Pont, who immediately changed the culture within the program in his first season last fall, welcomed a plethora of new assistant coaches throughout the off-season to help guide the Yeomen in a positive direction.
"We are ecstatic about the new additions to our staff," Pont said. "We've brought four coaches from across the country at all levels, who have already made great impacts on our team both on and off the field. Their knowledge of the game, passion for coaching, and energy have been evident throughout camp. "
Jon Davidson brings over 10 years of experience at various levels and will be tasked with mentoring Oberlin's secondary and special teams. He spent last season as the defensive coordinator at Servite High School (CA) where he coached five All-Trinity League selections, which is widely considered the most competitive conference in all of high school football. Additionally, he spent the previous five seasons (2018-22) at the University of Chicago as the defensive pass game coordinator & secondary coach, where he morphed the Maroons into becoming among the best defenses in all of NCAA Division III.
Carson Kinney arrives from the College of Wooster to serve as the team's strength and conditioning coach in addition to assisting with the offensive line. An experienced motivator and Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist from the National Strength & Conditioning Association, Kinney brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to help the Yeomen develop on and off the field.
Bradley Jennings Jr. played in 46 career games at the NCAA Division I level between the University of Miami (FL) and Indiana University, making 68 career tackles. He spent last season at the University of Tennessee at Martin as the assistant strength and conditioning coach. With the Yeomen he will instruct linebackers while assisting with special teams and strength and conditioning.

Cooper Siudak helped with the Ducks' secondary during his time in Eugene and will hold multiple roles within the program, including video coordinator and operations work in addition to aiding Coaching Davidson in the secondary.
