Carson Kinney joins the Oberlin Football staff after three years at the College of Wooster where he served as a Assistant Strength Coach, Director of Intramurals, and Assistant Track coach. 

At Wooster, Kinney programmed and directed workouts including flexibility, lifting technique, running technique, plyometrics, testing and evaluation for a variety of sports.  For the track team, he coached:

-First All-American in Women’s Weight Throw in school history 
-First Women’s Indoor Shot Put Conference Champ in school history (2023)
-First Women’s Weight Throw Conference Champ in school history (2024)
-First Men’s Hammer Throw Conference Podium Placer (third, 2023)
-Coached five out of top 10 women’s hammer throwers and five of the top 10 women’s weight throwers both in school history.

Kinney graduated with an M.S. in Strength and Conditioning from Logan University and M.S. in Applied Exercise Science from Ashland University.  As an undergraduate, he graduated from Baldwin Wallace with a degree in exercise science, minor in Orthopedic Assessment and Biology.  He is CSCS certified.
