Westlake, Ohio – After a remarkable season anchoring the Crimson and Gold defense,
Hunter Green of the Oberlin College football team, earned Third-Team All-Conference honors, as announced by the North Coast Athletic Conference on Monday morning.
Green earns the first post-season conference accolade of his career after leading the Yeomen in nearly every defensive category. The linebacker made a conference-best 57 solo tackles, in addition to 46 tackles assists which ranks third. Totaling 103 total tackles, Green ranks second in the conference and first for Oberlin.
In addition to forcing a trio of fumbles, the Maryland native accounted for 5.5 sacks during the season, including career-best 2.5 in the team's win over Hiram. Ranking fourth-overall in tackles for loss, Green tallied 15.0 for 54-yards. 12 of those TFLs came as solo efforts, which ties for the second-most in the NCAC.
Green and the rest of Oberlin's gridiron warriors take a well-deserved rest this offseason, before returning to action in 2025 for spring ball.
