Westlake, Ohio – Oberlin College seniors
Chilly Wallace and
Zack Lee earned North Coast Athletic Conference Athlete of the Week honors, the league office announced Monday.
Wallace was tabbed as the Women's Sprints/Hurdles Athlete of the Week while Lee took home Men's Field Athlete of the Week laurels.
Wallace started off her season strong with a winning mark of 36-00.75 in the triple jump to best a field of 14 at the Ninth-Annual Case Western Reserve Holiday Classic as that opening performance is currently good for 15th in the nation.
A native of Belle Mead, New Jersey, Wallace also won the 60-meter hurdles in 9.37, which is the 20th-best mark in the country this season.
Lee soared his way to a second-place finish in the triple jump with a clearance of 44-05.25 to rest atop of the NCAC while ranking 14th in the country.
The Oberlin track and field teams will be back in action on Friday at the Tiffin University Alumni Open.
