Oberlin Track & Field Honored for Academic Success

New Orleans – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced that the Oberlin College men's and women's track & field teams were named All-Academic for the 2019-20 school year.
 
To receive the award, a team must earn minimum grade point average of 3.10. The Yeowomen posted a team GPA of 3.53 throughout the school year while the Yeomen posted a mark 3.28.
 
Of the 359 teams in Division III that were honored, 209 of those were women's teams compared to 150 men's programs.
 
Additionally, five Yeowomen were tabbed as USTFCCCA All-Academic selections for their work in the classroom and in competition. Marija Crook, Christina Impara, Oona Jung-Beeman, Naeisha McClain from the class of 2020 joined rising-junior Sarah Voit as those who garnered the praise.
 
To qualify for USTFCCCA All-Academic honors, the student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative GPA of 3.30 and while achieving at least one of the following athletic standards: Compete in an NCAA Indoor or Outdoor Championship; or finish the regular season ranked in the national top-50 in an individual event or ranked in the national top-35 in a relay event on the official NCAA Descending Order List.
