Yeowomen Track & Field Earns Academic Honors

New Orleans – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced that the Oberlin College women's track & field team was named All-Academic for the 2018-19 school year.

To receive the award, a team must earn minimum grade point average of 3.00. The Yeowomen posted a team GPA of 3.43 throughout the school year while winning both the NCAC Indoor and Outdoor Championships.

Of the 297 teams in Division III that were honored, 184 of those were women's teams compared to 113 men's programs.

Additionally, four Yeowomen were tabbed as USTFCCCA All-Academic selections for their work in the classroom and in competition. Oona Jung-Beeman, Jasmine Keegan, Naeisha McClain, and Sarah Voit garnered the praise.

To qualify for USTFCCCA All-Academic honors, the student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative GPA of 3.30 and while achieving at least one of the following athletic standards: Compete in an NCAA Indoor or Outdoor Championship; or finish the regular season ranked in the national top-50 in an individual event or ranked in the national top-35 in a relay event on the official NCAA Descending Order List.

All four honorees are slated to be back for the Yeowomen this year when they open the season in early December.
